Settings

At www.toplist.eu/edit/ you can edit the basic data of the registered page (address, name, label, category, contact email), further options (passwordless access, password change, hiding statistics and more) and an overview of logins to the account.

You log in to the edit interface using the TOPlist ID and the password you set during registration. If you do not know it, it can be restored using the "forgotten password" link: after entering the correct contact email, a link to change the password is sent to that address. (Logging in by email is a feature of the Statistics interface, not of the settings.)

Data

The settings page has three parts. The main one is the settings form. It allows you to change:

  • Address — the main web address (URL) of the registered website.
  • Name — the page name displayed in the traffic ranking, the statistics listing, etc.
  • Description — a short (max. 255 characters) description of the page, shown as the alternative text of the link in the ranking, in the statistics listing, etc.
  • Category — the main category in which the page is shown in the ranking.
  • Send statistics by email every week — whether a short email with an overview of the previous week's traffic should be sent to the contact emails every Monday.
  • Detailed statistics only with password — whether a password is required to view the statistics. It is the same password required to access the settings.
  • Non-public measurement — removes the page from the ranking and search results.
  • Excluded IP address — an IP address, or part of it (replaced using *, e.g. 127.0.1.*), from which traffic should not be recorded.
  • Security code — a number (1–200) that must match the seed parameter in your measurement code, so your code cannot be abused on other people's pages. Setting it to 0 disables the function.
  • Email — contact email or multiple emails separated by commas. Used for sending weekly statistics and, if needed, a link to set a new password. Once the email is verified, a direct link from the ranking to the measured page becomes active.

The second part of the page is a menu with links to change the password, zero out the statistics, and delete the account.

Access Log

The last part is the list of logins. It contains the time of the last login from the respective IP address and the action that required the login.
